Jordan's King Abdullah II received the head of Libya's Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Najla Mangoush, at Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Sunday.

Jordan's Petra News Agency said the meeting addressed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various fields, in order to achieve the interests of the two countries and brotherly peoples.

During the meeting, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan's position on Libya's side and its support for political efforts that protect its unity, security and stability and achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people.

The meeting was attended by Jordan's Prime Minister Bashir Al-Khasawneh, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Expatriate Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi, and the King's Chief of Staff, Dr. Jafar Hassan.
