Graduation held for first batch of trainees under joint cooperation agreement between GNA and Turkey

The "Omar Mukhtar" Training Center in Tajoura witnessed on Saturday, the graduation ceremony for the first batch of trainees, as part of the joint cooperation agreement between Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Turkish government, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense.

The ceremony was attended by the GNA Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff, the former Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the Tripoli Military Region, the Commander of the Western Military Region and a number of officials in the Ministry of Defense, representatives of the Turkish side, and the parents of the graduates.

The ceremony was also attended by Presidential Council Vice President, Ahmed Maiteeg and two deputies in the Council, Ahmed Hamza and Abdul Salam Kagman.

The general program was opened with verses from the Qur’an, and the national anthems of Libya and Turkey were played. This was followed by speeches from the commander of the center, Colonel Haitham Hamid, army spokesman Colonel Pilot Muhammad Gnounou, and Minister of Defense Salah al-Din al-Nimroush.

The general program of the ceremony was concluded with military parade by the graduates.
