The UNICEF office in Libya announced the provision of 122 tons of medicine, which will benefit 225,000 women and children.
The office pointed out that these supplies are necessary to implement an integrated maternal and child health program, ensuring the promotion of quality primary health services and life-saving services for mothers, newborns and children. It will also contribute to strengthening health care and nutrition services to avoid preventable diseases and deaths among vulnerable population groups, according to a statement.
UNICEF, in consultation with the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Accord, identified the most needy health facilities, including those in the municipalities affected by migration flows, with aid reaching 34 health facilities in 26 municipalities.
