The Minister of the Interior in the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha says Libya has "renewed the desire to cooperate with the China in the security field to raise the efficiency of employees at all levels," according to a statement.

This came after a meeting at the Ministry of Interior in the capital Tripoli, Tuesday morning, with the Chinese ambassador to Libya.

The meeting focused on a number of topics of interest to the two friendly countries, the statement added.

The Chinese ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the remarkable improvement in the security situation in the capital Tripoli and his country's desire for the return of Chinese companies to Libya in the coming period.
