Abdulhamid Dabaiba, head of the Government of National Unity, attended the ceremony marking the opening of the UNESCO office in the capital, Tripoli.

The event took place on Thursday, under the theme “Celebrating Education, Culture, and Science with UNESCO” at the Red Castle Theater, according to a live broadcast on the “Our Government” Facebook page.

In his speech during the opening, Dabaiba said that the event sends a clear message that Libya is regaining its international standing and moving toward partnership and openness, noting that it is not merely an administrative procedure, but a message affirming Libya’s readiness to cooperate and open up to the world.
