Two archaeological sites discovered south of Zawiya

The Tourism Police and Antiquities Protection Office announced on Tuesday, the discovery of two archaeological sites south of the city of Zawiya, stressing that all legal measures have been taken, and members of the agency are assigned to protect the sites from theft and vandalism.

A statement explained that the first archaeological site is located in the Bir bin Hassan area and the second site is located in Bir Sardin.

It added that experts from the Antiquities Control Office in Sabratha, the Historic Cities Management Authority, and a members of the municipal council from Zawiya inspected the sites to authenticate them.
