The Swiss Ambassador to Libya, Josef Renggli, submitted a list of artifacts belonging to Libya which the Swiss authorities had previously seized on its territory to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Libya's Government of National Unity (GNU) on Tuesday.

This was announced in a government statement quoting the director of the Antiquities Department, Muhammad Faraj.

Faraj confirmed that appointments have been set with the Libyan embassy in Bern to hand over the artifacts in an official ceremony, in preparation for transferring them to Tripoli.
