A team from the Emergency Medicine and Support Center participated in a crisis and risk management training program in the United States.

The training program included scientific activities and field visits aimed at enhancing practical expertise and learning about international best practices in disaster response, according to a statement released by the center on Sunday.

The program included a scientific session on climate change, its impacts, and potential disasters, during which modern technological programs for tracking medical cases, as well as risk management and prediction through data analysis, were reviewed.

Leveraging U.S. expertise to suit the Libyan context

The center stated that the training session supports faster decision-making and the development of more effective proactive plans, while presenting an adapted version of risk management tailored to the Libyan environment.

The statement said these activities are part of the center’s efforts to transfer and localize international expertise, develop Libya’s emergency response system, and enhance readiness to respond to various risks.
