Libya's capital Tripoli and its surrounding areas have seen heavy rain since last night and early Tuesday. The rain has blocked the movement of vehicles due to the accumulation of water in the streets due to an overflow of local drainage networks.

The National Safety Authority called on citizens in Tripoli to avoid the highway from the 20th Ramadan bridge to the Befi area because of the accumulation of rainwater on the road.
