The Ministry of Health for Libya's Government of National Unity announced the opening of the nursery department at Sebha Medical Center with a total capacity for 44 newborns, on Thursday.

The ministry said that this step comes within "Return to Life Plan" for the health sector in Libya's southern region, noting that this department is the first of its kind in the region.

It explained that the opening of the nursery department came at the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health-designate, Ramadan Abu Janah.
