The sixth phase of kidney transplant operations at Bin Sina Hospital in Sirte concluded on Monday, with seven surgeries performed on patients from various cities.

Jadallah Driyak, the hospital’s assistant director, said that these operations were carried out by a visiting Jordanian medical team and the Arab Kidney Transplant Group, led by Professor Issa Kwalit, in collaboration with the hospital’s national medical staff.

Driyak explained that this phase lasted four days before concluding yesterday, Monday, and involved patients from the cities of Bayda, Tripoli, Benghazi, Sirte, Zamzam, and Tawergha.

Praise for the Efforts of Doctors and Donors

He noted the success of all operations, praising the efforts of the consulting doctors and specialists in this field, as well as the medical care provided to patients and donors.

The assistant director added that kidney transplants at the hospital continue periodically for patients under the supervision of the visiting Jordanian medical team.

The first and second phases of kidney transplants were conducted under the supervision of the Jordanian team last September and included nine successful kidney transplants.
