On Thursday, the new Minister of Health for the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Ghouj, officially took office as head of the ministry, after previously serving as deputy minister.
This comes as part of the latest cabinet reshuffle carried out by the head of the government, Abdulhamid Dabaiba.
After taking office, Al-Ghouj held an expanded meeting with the directors of the departments and agencies affiliated with the ministry to follow up on the ministry's work plan to develop the health sector, enhance the quality of medical services, secure medicines and supplies, and raise the efficiency of hospitals and health centers.
Ministry of Health priorities
In a speech during the meeting, Al-Ghouj emphasized the importance of teamwork, commitment to implementation plans, and regular monitoring of progress, stressing that the ministry's efforts will focus on improving healthcare for citizens and raising the level of administrative and technical performance within health institutions.
The minister participated yesterday evening in a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was attended by the head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi and the President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala.
