Al-Bayda Medical Center announced that it has performed more than 100 cardiac catheterization surgeries for patients from various cities and regions in Libya, since the beginning of this year.

According to a statement issued by the center, consultants and specialists are performing cardiac catheterization operations at Al-Bayda Medical Center on Saturday and Tuesday of every week.

The director of the Al-Bayda Medical Center, Abdulrahim Mazzig, indicated that the aim of this was to alleviate the suffering of patients in the city of Al-Bayda and surrounding areas from traveling abroad to perform these operations.

He added that the medical staff within the cardiac catheterization department are working over time in order to save patients' lives and their results have matched neighboring countries.
