Libya's National Center for Disease Control announced the registration of 273 new COVID infections during the past 24 hours, bringing the active cases in the country to 1,639.

The center added that 678 samples were examined, resulting in a 40.26% positive rate.

The center announced on Sunday that it re-start publishing a daily update of the epidemiological situation in the country after a months-long hiatus.

This brings the total number of infections in Libya since March 2020 to 504,599, with 6,431 deaths
