Libya's National Centre for Disease Control announced on Wednesday that there were 33 new cases Covid-19 without any deaths, between April 18 and 24.

In its weekly bulletin on the epidemiological situation in Libya, it indicated that it had received 1,519 samples from different laboratories, bringing the percentage of positive cases to 2%.

The total number of Covid infections since March 2020 increased to 501,906, with 4,493 active cases, 490,987 recoveries and 6,426 deaths.

The center had previously announced that it considered the latest wave of infections over after a “record drop” in late March.
