The National Development Agency, affiliated with the General Command, signed contracts on Tuesday, with 13 Chinese companies for the implementation of the Al-Maqroun Industrial Zone project.

The signing took place in the presence of the Deputy Commander of the General Command, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar; the Prime Minister appointed by the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad; the Agency’s Director, Jibril Al-Badri; as well as a number of members of the House of Representatives and representatives of Chinese companies specializing in the implementation and development of industrial projects.

The General Command stated on its Facebook page that the industrial zone project will span an area of 1,000 hectares, serving as a regional hub for industry, investment, and production.

The launch ceremony featured a presentation of the master plan for the industrial zone project and the phases of infrastructure implementation, along with an overview of its components and industrial specializations, which include building and construction materials, environmental industries and renewable energy technologies, as well as electrical and mechanical industries, chemicals and plastics, textiles, electronics, and modern technologies.
