Mohamed Al-Hangari, Chairman of the Libyan Export Development Authority, discussed with Hisham Al-Rafqi, Deputy Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco, ways to boost trade between Libya and Morocco and to activate areas of joint cooperation in export development, in addition to following up on the implementation of the terms of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides.

A statement issued by the Authority on its Facebook page explained that the meeting addressed mechanisms for developing economic and trade relations between the two countries and strengthening communication between the public and private sectors, thereby contributing to supporting trade and opening new horizons for Libyan products, as well as capitalizing on available opportunities to increase trade and investment between Libya and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The two sides also discussed following up on the implementation of areas of cooperation stemming from the memorandum of understanding signed between the Libyan Export Development Authority and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development, in a manner that supports efforts to develop non-oil exports and strengthens the presence of Libyan products in regional and international markets.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and joint cooperation in a manner that serves the economic interests of both countries, contributes to achieving development goals, and strengthens the economic partnership between Libya and the Kingdom of Morocco.
