Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced today, Saturday, the restart of the “T-02” flow tank at the main complex of the Sarir oil field, following the completion of comprehensive maintenance work that began four years ago.

In a statement, the company said that the tank’s restart is a “strategic achievement,” noting that it will help increase the field’s crude oil storage capacity.

Maintenance of the reservoir was scheduled for early 2022 under the contractual umbrella of Project No. “O-93” and also included maintenance of Fire Water Reservoir No. “T-05,” which was successfully completed and recommissioned in November 2021.

With the commissioning of the latest flow tank, the full completion of Project No. “O-93” is officially announced.

The project faced “significant technical and financial challenges and difficulties resulting from circumstances beyond our control, which led to disruptions and delays in the schedules,” according to the statement, which praised the efforts of the Sarir oil field’s operators and workers.
