Sirte Oil restarts production at methanol plant

The Sirte Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company confirmed the restart of its methanol plant and the actual commencement of production.

The company said in a statement on Wednesday that the plant’s restart coincides with the operation of the second nitrogen unit at the Petrochemical Power Plant, following the completion of its integration with the modern control system, ensuring the stability and efficiency of nitrogen gas supplies to all facilities within the industrial complex.

Global Standards in the Operation of Oil Production Units

The company considered the achievement “clear evidence of high technical readiness and an outstanding ability to restore and operate production units efficiently, in accordance with the latest approved standards in safety and quality.”

Masoud Suleman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, praised the efforts of the technical and operational staff in achieving “this accomplishment.”

A new pump at “Arabian Gulf” for the first time in 11 years

Last Saturday, the Arabian Gulf Oil Company announced the successful installation of the new P3 pump at Gathering Complex No. 3 in the Sarir field, noting that this project had been suspended since 2015 and that the pump would begin actual operation soon.

A week ago, the Mellitah Oil and Gas Company also confirmed the completion of the manufacturing and assembly of equipment for the gas development project at the Al-Bouri offshore field, with a budget of $1.56 billion, noting that the project will enter the actual production phase next September.
