On Monday, the head of the National Oil Corporation, Masoud Suleman, met with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, to discuss streamlining visa procedures for Corporation employees and the sector in general, with the aim of fostering communication, facilitating the movement of people, and strengthening opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
Suleman said in a post on his Facebook page that he discussed with the British ambassador ways to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues for joint cooperation between the two sides.
Discussing Economic and Developmental Cooperation Between the Two Sides
He added that the meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, in addition to exploring prospects for cooperation in economic and developmental fields, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the partnership with the British side and opening new horizons for cooperation and the exchange of expertise in a manner that serves mutual interests.
For his part, the British Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Corporation, affirming his country’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving stability in Libya, and its readiness to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including exploring mechanisms to facilitate visa procedures.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on continued coordination and consultation between the two sides, as well as joint efforts to support development initiatives and strengthen bilateral relations.
