Menfi and Haftar Discuss Reconstruction Files, Development Programs, and the Unified Budget

In March, Presidential Council President Mohamed Menfi discussed reconstruction files and development programs with Belqasim Haftar, in addition to addressing the issue of the unified general budget.

Menfi’s media office stated that the meeting took place “within the framework of national consultations aimed at strengthening stability and advancing reconstruction efforts across the country.”

The meeting also addressed recent developments in the reconstruction file, during which the “strategic importance of development programs as a fundamental pillar for achieving stability and consolidating national unity” was emphasized.

The meeting also addressed the need to “advance the political process as the framework guaranteeing sustainable stability,” with both parties stressing the importance of creating the conditions for holding national elections, thereby ending the state of division and laying the groundwork for a phase based on consensus and partnership.
