Dabaiba met with Suleman at the Prime Minister's Office in Tripoli on Monday to follow up on the latest developments at the NOC and its plans to increase production capacity, as part of the government's strategy to enhance the stability of the oil and gas sector and support the state's public revenues, according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity.

Projects to increase oil production

The media office said on its Facebook page that the meeting reviewed projects to increase production, including fields that have entered production, such as the Mabrouk and Sinawan fields, as well as projects planned for the near future, which will contribute to boosting pumping rates and achieving production targets according to approved schedules.

The media office explained that Masoud presented to Dabaiba "an overview of the most prominent operational challenges facing a number of fields, primarily the deterioration of some infrastructure and leaks in oil and gas pipelines, stressing the importance of providing urgent technical and financial support to address these bottlenecks, thereby ensuring the sustainability of operations with efficiency and the highest safety standards."

Approval of urgent allocations for the NOC

The media office added that the meeting also addressed the issue of supplying various types of fuel to the local market, in addition to discussing the operational and capital needs of the NOC. During the meeting, the need to maintain the stability and regularity of fuel supplies was emphasized, as well as the approval of urgent allocations that would enable the NOC to implement its projects and address existing challenges, thereby supporting the stability of this vital sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
