The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, briefed the head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, on the general financial situation of the state in terms of revenue and expenditures, as well as the supervisory role of the Bureau and the challenges it faces in performing its duties and its efforts to combat corruption.
Menfi visited the Audit Bureau's headquarters in Tripoli on Tuesday, where he met with Shakshak and a number of the bureau's department directors. He also took a tour of the headquarters, during which he was briefed on the bureau's work.

Menfi praised the efforts of those in charge of the bureau, especially its latest report, stressing the importance of continuing the tireless institutional work to enhance transparency, consolidate the principles of integrity, and ensure comprehensive and genuine oversight of the various sectors subject to accounting oversight.
The Presidential Council's media office noted that at the end of the visit, Shakshak presented Menfi with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his efforts and continued support for the bureau's role in protecting public funds and strengthening the state's financial oversight system.
