During his chairmanship of the Economic and Social Development Fund's regular meeting of the Board of Trustees for 2025, the head of Libya's Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabiaba, called on the Fund to implement four demands. The meeting was dedicated to following up on the Fund's work plan, development projects, and investment programs.
According to what was published by the "Our Government" platform, the four demands presented by Dabaiba during the meeting included "improving performance efficiency, accelerating work on vital projects, a commitment to transparency in expenditures, and implementation of approved plans while working to expand investment partnerships, especially with the private sector, in a way that positively reflects on the national economy and improves the services provided to citizens."
The fund's director general gave a comprehensive presentation that included the level of progress in implementing projects, financing, investment program achievement rates, and a detailed review of expenses approved during the past period. It also included mechanisms for controlling spending and directing it toward development priorities.
