A team from the Libyan Investment Authority, headed by the Chairman and Executive Director of the Corporation, Ali Mahmoud Hassan, participated in the work of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit, which kicked off on Saturday in Tripoli, under the auspices of the Government of National Unity (GNU).

The media advisor for the authority, Louay Al-Qario, explained in a statement to Alwasat on Sunday that the participation of the team in the summit comes within the framework of supporting a strategy to achieve promising investment prospects in Libya.

At the opening of the summit on Saturday evening, GNU Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba, said that his government had developed plans to double oil production, develop oil field infrastructure, and expand discovery, in order to support the National Oil Corporation and the national economy.
