The Minister of Oil and Gas for Libya's Government of National Unity, Mohamed Oun, participated in the forty-fourth ministerial council meeting of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization in Benin.

The meeting dealt with important topics, foremost of which are the results of negotiations with the African Bank to support the oil industry in Africa, and development in African member countries to extract oil wealth and benefit from it dutring the transition to renewable energies, according to a statement by the Ministry of Oil on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

Oun arrived in Benin on Tuesday evening, and was received by the Secretary-General for Oil and Energy Affairs at the Ministry of Energy, Water and Mining in Benin and the Chargé d'Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Benin.
