The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday with Norway's Equinor to study and evaluate oil and gas capabilities in Libyan maritime areas.

The NOC said that the memorandum of understanding also included training by Equinor for a number of youth working in the Libyan oil and gas sector.

The signing took place at the NOC’s headquarters in Tripoli.
