An Air Libya plane landed at Ubari Airport in southwestern Libya on Tuesday, inaugurating the return of flights he airport after the completion of maintenance work.
Libya's parliament-appointed government said in a statement that a celebration was organized and attended by Ubari's mayor, a number of LNA General Command officers, and elders from the Ubari Social Council.
In July, Ubari Airport Director Mohamed Milad said that repair work on the airstrip was nearing completion.
Milad said at the time that repairs were carried out in accordance with international specifications which will extend the life of the asphalt and prevent cracks in high temperatures.
