The Minister of Oil and Gas for Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Mohamed Oun, expressed his aspiration for more participation by Russian companies in Libyan exploration due to their experience and praised the role Moscow has played in OPEC+, "to maintain balance in the global oil markets".
This came during Oun's meeting with Russian Ambassador Aydar Aganin in Tripoli on Wednesday.
According to a statement, Oun also discussed the activation of the Libyan-Russian ministerial committee after its years long suspension, stressing the need for more meetings, visits, conferences, seminars and workshops in order for Libya to benefit from Russian technology and experience.
The meeting took place after the Russian ambassador met with Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi earlier in the day.
