The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the arrival of new equipment and spare parts for the Al-Khoms and South Tripoli power stations, supplied by the American company GE, to complete "major overhauls".

The company said in a statement on Tuesday that 34 parcels containing the equipment arrived at Tripoli's Mitiga International Airport on Monday.

GECOL added that the shipment comes within the framework of the company's continuous efforts to support the electrical network, maintain power generation stations and increase their performance.
