The Minister of Oil and Gas for Libya's Government of National Unity, Mohamed Oun, met on Monday with the Indonesian ambassador Dede Achmad Rifa.

Oun gave a brief overview of the history of the oil and gas sector in Libya and an overview of the Libyan oil law, and its stages of development, which clarified the role and tasks of the ministry and its relationship with the National Oil Corporation and the institutions of other countries, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

Oun also brought up the possibility of the two countries exchanging expertise in the oil and gas sector for the benefit of both sides.

For his part, the ambassador stressed the importance of increasing cooperation between Indonesia and Libya and urged the necessity of continuing meetings between the two parties for the benefit of the two countries.
