The Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, held a meeting in his office in the city of Al-Qubbah with representatives of The General Syndicate of Banks, Insurance and Investment, to discuss the economic situation in the country.

House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Bliheg said in a brief statement that the meeting, which was attended by several economists and finance figures and touched on difficulties facing the Libyan banking sector and the role of banks in reviving the economy.

The meeting also discussed ways small and medium enterprises can support Libyan youth.
