The Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives said during a meeting with UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily on Tuesday that "it is possible to study the conditions for electing the prime minister," but warned that "reopening the door for dialogue on electoral laws will return us to square one."

This came during Aguila Saleh's meeting with Bathily in Benghazi, where the talks dealt with "developments in the political situation in Libya," and Saleh stressed during the meeting that "electoral laws have been issued and are enforceable, and we only have to go to implement them," according to a statement issued by spokesman Abdullah Bliheg.

The meeting comes a day after Marshal Khalifa Haftar held talks with Bathily.

Haftar said that "the General Command supports the efforts of the UN mission to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people," according to the General Command's Information Office.
