One individual died in a traffic accident on Tripoli's Airport Road on Wednesday, according to the Tripoli Security Directorate. 

The directorate said in a statement that the accident occurred "near the equestrian bridge as a result of excessive speed by a motorist who lost control of the steering wheel, leading to his collision with the fence."

In addition to the death, another person was seriously injured, the statement said.
