The Ministry of Interior for Libya's Government of National Unity announced on Tuesday the recovery of 69 artillery shells south of the capital Tripoli.
This came after a report was received by the Criminal Investigation Division stating that war remnants were present inside a citizen's farm near the wildlife park, according to a ministry statement.
The explosives disposal team went to the scene, conducted a comprehensive survey, and the remnants were transported to a designated storage area, in preparation for their safe destruction in accordance with established standards.
Earlier, the ministry announced the dismantling of a booby-trapped artillery shell found inside a farm in the Tajoura area, as well as the discovery of a 12.5-millimeter ammunition box.
