The Bloc Coordination Group for Libya's High Council of State said that most of the members of the council boycotted Monday's session in rejection of the decision making by its president, Muhammad Takala, describing him as "an echo of the voice of the government".

The group added in a statement: "This was clearly manifested in his position towards the government's attempts to normalize with the Zionist entity, as well as his position on the Hamada oil field deal, ignoring the role of the legislative, advisory and supervisory council".

The statement continued: "We warn the president of the council to respect the internal regulations in the management of the council and we confirm that there is an opportunity to remedy and correct and arbitrate the voice of reason and wisdom".

It was announced earlier that Monday's session was postponed until Tuesday due to the lack of a quorum.
