The municipality of Misrata announced on Wednesday that it sent a shipment of aid from Misrata International Airport to El-Arish International Airport in Egypt, to "provide relief for the people of Gaza, who have been suffering under continuous Israeli aggression since last October". 

According to a statement issued by the municipality, the shipment is part of the "Libyan aid campaign for the Palestinian people" in partnership with the Libyan Red Crescent.

Earlier this month, the municipality of Hay al-Andalus in Tripoli sent "relief materials and medical aid, including ambulances and field hospitals."

The Government of National Unity and The General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces have also dispatched hundreds of tons aid to Gaza, through Egypt.
