The Red Crescent Society in Derna announced the recovery of a body likely to be one of the victims of the Storm Daniel flooding, which hit the city last September.

The Red Crescent added in a press statement, "a report was received about the presence of a decomposing body in one of the houses on Hashisha Street," noting that one of its teams "recovered the body and transferred it" to the local hospital's morgue.

The body is likely to be one of the victims of the devastating floods that swept the city, according to photos published by the organization.

According to the latest data issued by the responsible authorities, the Derna floods killed at least 4,352 people, displaced more than 43,000, while 8,000 others are still missing.

Earlier this month, the Red Crescent Society announced the recovery of a decomposing body from the city's Zahra School.
