Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba said that the House of Representatives is responsible for "obstructing the elections," in an interview with the Lebanese journalist Tony Khalifa at the Tripoli Forum for Government Communication.

He added, "I am not a party and I will not be a party to it... Those who caused the obstruction are those who stayed in power for 10 years and they are responsible for this situation, because they made Libya worse."

Dabaiba said that the House should have held parliamentary elections 8 years ago, continuing: "If you want to continue, then return to the Libyan people with fair elections and laws. In general, accusations against me are cheap."
