The Benghazi Security Directorate announced on Wednesday the arrest of 64 migrants during security stops by the Sidi Khalifa police station.

The Sidi Khalifa police station said that most of the migrants were Egyptian and Sudanese nationals, according to a brief statement.

The statement added that the individuals have been transfered to competent authorities in preparation for deportation to their home countries.

The number of irregular migrants deported to their countries from Libya during the month of November reached 1,032, according to statistics issued by the Department for Combating Illegal Migration.
