The Director General of the Transport Projects Implementation Authority, Sami Al-Absh, confirmed the completion of the basic works on the passenger terminal at Tripoli International Airport.

Al-Absh added that the iron structure of the airport is scheduled to be delivered within ten days, according to a Government of National Unity statement.

He added that the airport is being equipped to serve more than 6 million passengers annually after it opens

The passenger terminal of Tripoli International Airport will be on an area of 30,000 square meters, compared Benghazi's Benina International Airport with an area of 13,000 square meters and Misrata International Airport at 15,000 square meters.
