The Italian Embassy in Libya announced the landing of an additional plane carrying aid for the city of Derna and the areas affected by Storm “Daniel.”

After the disaster occurred on September 10, the Italian Red Cross sent rescue and emergency vehicles to Libya, in addition to basic aid that included four high-capacity water pumps, one medium-capacity water pump, 4,950 blanket, 2,520 pairs of work boots, 354 pairs of waterproof boots, and 1,500 body bags.

An Italian Navy ship also arrived in Libya days after the storm, carrying 100 tents complete with beds and sleeping bags capable of hosting a thousand people.
