Japan's Ambassador to Libya, Masaki Amadera, held a meeting with Presidential Council member Moussa al-Kouni on Wednesday, offering condolences for the victims of Storm Daniel and presenting his country's capabilities to help in the reconstruction of the city of Derna.

During the meeting, Ambassador Amadera also announced the imminent resumption of the work at the Japanese embassy in Tripoli.

The meeting then discussed the latest developments in the country, bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them in several fields.

Al-Kouni stressed the importance of strengthening relations and cooperation between Libya and Japan, explaining that cooperation with Japan will contribute to the advancement of the country in all fields, especially the economy, technology and education, in addition to the reconstruction of Derna and Murzuq.
