The spokesman for the Libyan Arab Armed Forces General Command, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, announced that the number of victims of the devastating flooding in Derna has risen to 4,201.
This comes after 26 bodies were recovered in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to General Command statistics.
In a speech on Tuesday, Marshal Khalifa Haftar called on citizens of the Green Mountain region and the city of Derna, to "awaken their determination" after the disaster, in order to rebuild what was destroyed by floods and called for "turning the page on the past, reuniting and linking bridges of trust between the residents of Derna."
