A team from the Spanish oil company Repsol began search and rescue operations in the areas of Wardia, Susa and towns of Green Mountain region that have not yet received aid, upon its arrival at Al-Abraq Airport on Friday;

The team includes 20 experts in rescue operations with their equipment, according to a statement by Libya's National Oil Corporation on Friday.

Storm Daniel hit the eastern region of Libya last Sunday, leaving widespread destruction and damage, especially in the city of Derna, where rescue operations have been concentrated. The storm also caused significant losses in the cities of Bayda and Susa.

Repsol is one of NOC's foreign partners, working alongside Acacus to operate the Sharara field in the Murzuq Basin, one of Libya's largest oil fields.
