The Spokesman for Libya's House of Representatives, Abdullah Biheg, announced on Tuesday, the approval with observations of the draft state budget bill for 2023, submitted by the parliament-appointed government led by Osama Hammad.

This came in a brief statement which he did not give further details about the number of attendees of the session, the number of voters or the observations of parliament members on the budget.

The approval of the budget bill comes after the House of Representatives' Planning, Finance and General Budget Committee decided last February during a meeting with the Minister of Finance to seek amendments to the budget.

At the time, the committee also demanded a detailed report on the government's expenditures since it assumed its duties during 2022.
