The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) said on Sunday that it was alerted to acts of vandalism including the burning and breaking of electricity poles in the city of Gharyan.

The company said a statement that the Gharyan Police Department received a report of the acts and the branch's patrols moved to the location.

It added that all legal measures were taken and the search for the perpetrators is under way.
