The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Libya's interim Government of National Unity offered its condolences to the Algerian government and people on the victims of forest fires in a number of areas.
In a statement, the ministry announced its solidarity with the brothers in Algeria, wishing that security and safety would prevail throughout the country.
Violent fires have struck northern and eastern Algeria, leaving at least 34 people dead, including ten soldiers, and destroying a large number of homes and shops.
Algeria's defence ministry said the ten soldiers who died were surrounded by fire while evacuating from Beni Ksila in the Bejaia region, along with residents of nearby villages.
