A water leak at Station 41, located near the Zueitina area, northeast of Ajdabiya, caused some farms and homes to flood according to Salah Al-Saadi, spokesman for the Man-Made River Project Authority.

Al-Saadi said in an audio recording broadcast on the agency's Facebook page that no human damage was recorded, while the water waste resulting from the leak was estimated at about 500,000 cubic meters.

The spokesman for the authority explained that maintenance teams were able to control the leak, announcing that water was cut off from cities between Benghazi and Ajdabiya.

Al-Saadi attributed the leak to "illegal connections and theft of air valves."
