Japan affirmed its support for all efforts that contribute to holding elections, declaring its desire to enhance cooperation with Libya.
This came during a meeting between Japanese Chargé d'Affaires Masaki Amadera with Presidential Council member Moussa Al-Kouni and Chief of Staff, Nasser Jibril, according to a statement issued by the council on Tuesday.
The Presidential Council said that the Japanese Chargé d'Affaires briefed Al-Kouni on "his country's desire to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries," praising the council's efforts aimed at achieving stability and the success of the national reconciliation project.
In turn, Al-Kouni stressed the importance of Libyan-Japanese relations and the need to develop them in many fields, especially the economy, technology and education in order to benefit from Japan's experience in these fields.
